Who is it for?
This campaign is best suited for a young activist (middle school, high school or college) who wants to help spread awareness on menstrual health among young menstruators.
Why Let’s Talk Period Challenge?
According to UNESCO, around 23 million girls in India drop out of school every year due to a lack of menstrual hygiene management facilities, which include access to sanitary napkins, awareness of menstruation and access to clean toilets with running water and disposal facilities. They are also susceptible to following taboo practices around menstruation.
Do you wish there were simple comics that a young person could read to understand their body and learn about periods? Here’s your chance to help young menstruators gain the right knowledge about periods and puberty.

Step 1
You can encourage period pride by sharing comic books:
Your Target is to send 10 books to 1 organization: INR 3750
Here’s how:
- Firstly, create a social media post (a reel, infographic post, or video) addressing myths and queries around menstrual hygiene.
- Be a sponsor for menstruators from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by fundraising for Menstrupedia’s awareness comics in English & vernacular languages on periods & puberty.
- Reach out to 5 people and hit your goal of 3750!
- Place the order of the books via Amazon
- Receive the books and send them to a local NGO. If you are not sure who to send to, please contact us.
